How to Register for ABSA Internet Banking

ABSA is a financial services company that is headquartered in South Africa and is a subsidiary of Barclays Bank. ABSA offers a free Internet banking system that you can use to access your personal and business ABSA accounts. Anyone with an ABSA account can register for access to the Internet banking system. This system allows you to obtain up-to-date information about your ABSA account, such as your current balance and transaction history. By using the ABSA Internet banking system, you can also download statements, transfer funds to other ABSA accounts and pay your bills online.

      Go to the ABSA Internet banking "Logon" page (see Resources).

      Click the "How to Register" link located at the bottom of the web page. A registration window will automatically open.

      Click the "Individual Registration" button if you have a personal bank account with ABSA. Click the "Business Application" button if you have a business bank account with ABSA.

      Scroll-down and enter your ATM card number and ATM PIN code in the appropriate fields. Click the "Next" button.

      Select the accounts you would like to register. If you only have one ABSA account, select that account. If you would like to register multiple accounts for Internet banking, you can select multiple accounts at the same time.

      Confirm your account information, which includes your name, address and phone number. Enter your email address and click the "Next" button.

      Check your email's inbox for an email from ABSA's Internet banking. Click the link in the body of the email to activate your Internet banking access. In the email, you will also find your access account number, PIN code and user number. You will need this information to log on to your ABSA account.
