How to Fix Your Hair With Gel for a Guy
Get that just-out-of-bed, tossled hairstyle with the right amount of gel when fixing your hair. There are several gel style products on the market made just for men's hairstyling. Too much gel can leave hair looking stiff, white and flaky as if you have dandruff. Wash your hair with shampoo, condition and rinse. For extra volume, try using a volume enhancing shampoo and conditioner and wash with hot water to expand the cuticle.

Tossle hair back and forth in a towel to dry; hair should be just damp.

Place a dime size amount of gel on your fingertips. For a tousled look, lightly twist the ends or pieces of your hair in various places with your fingertips. Apply a little bit more gel as needed until you achieve your desired style. For a sleek look, run your gel fingertips back through your hair then comb back. For the blow out style run fingertips through hair applying a liberal amount of gel; then, using a comb, comb hair up while blowing with a blow-dryer until stiff.
