How to Manually Remove Add-Ons in Outlook 2007
Microsoft Office 2007 lets you download and view email messages, but there may be times when you want additional functionality beyond what's normally offered. The Office e-mail client lets you download and install add-ins -- also known as add-ons -- from third party vendors, such as an anti-virus scanner that automatically checks all your messages. If a recently installed add-in isn't working properly or you no longer need to use it, the software also lets you manually remove individual add-ins.

Tips & Warnings
If you may want to use the add-in again later, you don't have to completely remove it from your computer. Rather than deleting it, it's possible to instead simply turn off the add-in temporarily. Navigate to the "Add-Ins" heading and click "Go" as normal. Remove the check mark next to the name of the add-in by clicking the check box. Click "OK" to turn off the add-in instead of deleting it. If you want to turn the add-in back on, simply return to the window and click the check box again.
If you have downloaded a new add-in from an online source, click the "Go" button to see the list of add-ins. Click "Add" and navigate to the folder where the add-in is saved. Double-click the add-ins name and click "OK."
