How to Send an E-Greeting Card

In the past, the only way to send a card was through the mail.

E-greeting cards offer several benefits that are not found in the traditional paper greeting cards. An e-greeting card is instantly delivered at the recipient's email address so you do not have to worry about mailing the card well ahead of the occasion for which it is intended. Additionally, e-greeting cards are environmentally friendly, as traditional paper isn't consumed in the process. Once the recipient acknowledges your e-greeting card, you will be notified by email. There are lots of different options available to personalize your e-greeting card using your own image, background music and customized animations.

Instructions

123greetings

1. Open 123greetings website in your Internet browser.

2. Select the occasion for the greeting card from the top bar options. Also, select your e-greeting card within your selected category.

3. Change the background music with the "Change Music" option.

4. Press "Send this e-card." Enter your name and email address in "Sender Details." Compose your message in the "Message" field, and enter the recipient's name and email address in "Receiver Details." Select the date on which you want to send this card using the calendar icon.

5. Specify whether you want to get a notification once the recipient opens the e-card by checking the appropriate option. Click "Send this e-card." If you choose to be notified, an email will be sent to you when the recipient views your e-card.

American Greetings

1. Open your Internet browser and go to American Greetings website by Yahoo!

2. Select a category and sub category for the greeting card from the options available, such as friends, family and funny.

3. Choose an e-card and then click "Personalize & Send" button. Enter your message or choose one of the suggested messages in the message box. You can also attach a photo by clicking "Add a Photo" button.

4. Enter the recipient email address, your relationship to the recipient, your name and your email address in respective text boxes. Press "Send your e-card."

Egreetings

1. Navigate to the Egreetings website.

2. Choose the relevant occasion from the left side of the webpage. Select an e-card available for this occasion.

3. Press "Email This Card." Enter your name, email address, recipient email address and your personal message. You can change the font style, color and size from the options given. Also, specify the delivery date.

4. Press "Send e-card" to deliver your greetings.

Tips & Warnings

• Some websites hosting e-greeting cards charge a monthly registration fee or a per-card fee.

• You can also attach a gift certificate with some e-cards for an additional cost.
