How to Calculate AdWords Quality Scores

How to Calculate AdWords Quality Scores thumbnail
Your Quality Score is what Google uses to judge the quality of your site.

Quality Score is Google's way of making sure all their advertisers deliver high quality websites to Google's users, rather than just sending them to low quality pages with a sales pitch. Quality Score is calculated with a number of factors, including your Click Through Rate, the relevancy of your keywords and ad text and your landing page. Your quality score will influence how much traffic Google will allocate to you by rotating your ad in, where your ad places and how much you pay.

Instructions

    • 1

Click on "Keywords" in your Google AdWords account.

    • 2

Click on Columns in the row right below the top navigation tab. Select "Customize Columns."

    • 3

Under "Performance," select "Qual. Score." Click Save. From now on, in the Keywords tab, Google will show you your Quality Score on the right hand side.

    • 4

To show your Quality Score in AdWords Editor instead of the online editor, first go to "Data > Statistics > Whole Account (slower)." This will download all the latest data on how your account is performing. Then go to the campaign you want to analyze, go to the Keywords tab. Between First Page Bid Estimate and Max CPC is your Quality Score.
