The Apple AirPort Base Station is a wireless networking device that allows you to connect to the Internet, share hard drives and print with up to fifty users at once. On occasion, it may be necessary to reset your Base Station to re-establish your wireless network. If you need to reset your Base Station, you can do so in a few simple steps.
Things You'll Need
Connect the AirPort Base Station to an electrical outlet.
Locate the reset button on the back side of the AirPort Base Station, directly above the small arrow icon. Press the reset button with a paperclip and hold the button for ten seconds.
Release the reset button. The AirPort Base Station has now been reset.
Factory Default Reset
Disconnect the Base Station from the electrical outlet.
Push the reset button with a paperclip and hold the reset button. While you are holding the reset button, plug the Base Station into an electrical outlet.
Hold the reset button for five seconds after connecting it to the electrical outlet. Release and button to complete the factory default reset process.
