How to Sync Bookmarks in an iPhone

The Apple iPhone has the ability to sync most of the content stored on the device with your computer. Photos, videos, applications, documents and Safari bookmarks are examples of items that can be synchronized using the iTunes application. The Safari Web browser on your iPhone is pre-installed in the device and it has many of the features found in the desktop version, such as bookmarks. Instead of manually entering the bookmarks you have saved on your desktop Safari browser into the iPhone, you can save time by automatically syncing the bookmarks.

  • Connect your iPhone to your computer with the iPhone USB connection cable.

  • Launch iTunes if it does not automatically open when you connect the iPhone to the computer.

  • Click "iPhone" under "Devices" in the left pane of the window.

  • Click the "Info" tab in the right pane of the window.

  • Select "Sync Safari Bookmarks" under "Other," and then click "Apply."

  • Click the "Sync" button, and the bookmarks on the Safari Web browser on your computer and the Safari application on your iPhone synchronize.
