In order to obtain a Chase ATM card, you will need to open a Chase checking account. Chase offers four types of personal checking accounts, including Chase Total Checking, Chase Premier Plus Checking, Chase Premier Platinum Checking and Student Checking. Each personal checking account has different rules and terms to follow, but after opening an account, you will be given an ATM card. In some instances, you have the option to make your ATM card a debit card, too. You may apply for a Chase checking account to obtain an ATM card online with the proper documents.

Visit Chase's website and click on "Checking" under Personal Banking.

Click on the button "Open Now" at the bottom of the page for the checking account you wish to open. You will have the option to select Chase Total Checking, Chase Premier Plus Checking, Chase Premier Platinum Checking or Student Checking.

Complete the required fields in the Online Application and click "Next" when finished.

Enter your personal information to the required fields and click "Next" when finished.

Review your information and click "Edit" for changes or "Next" if there are no changes.

Enter account and banking detail information for withdrawal of funds to deposit to your new Chase checking account and click "Next" when finished.

Review your information and click "Submit" when finished. Your Chase checking account is now open and additional information, materials and your ATM/debit card will be sent to you in the mail.
