Fertilome Blooming & Rooting Soluble Plant Food is a fertilizer product that has a nutritional analysis of 9-59-8. It is available in 8 oz., 1 1/2 lb., 3 lb. and 15 lb. sizes to accommodate any size planting area. It is designed to promote deep roots and increase blooming and may be applied to flowering trees, shrubs, flowers and vegetable plants. Instructions

  1. Rooting Application

    • 1

      Fill a bucket with 1 gallon of water and add in 1 tsp. of Fertilome Blooming & Rooting granules.

      Stir up the mixture using a long spoon until it is well combined and no fertilizer granules are visible on the bottom of the bucket.

      Dig the planting hole according to the depth and width requirements specified on the plant label.

      Pour one-third of the Fertilome mixture into the hole and insert the plant roots into the hole. Pour another one-third of the mixture on top of the roots and then fill in the hole with soil. Pour the remaining one-third of the mixture on top of the soil at the base of the plant.

    Ground Plant Application

      Fill a large bucket or a garden sprayer with 1 gallon of water and add in 2 tsp. of Fertilome Blooming & Rooting granules.

      Stir the mixture well to dissolve the granules. If you are using a garden sprayer, close it up and shake it vigorously to mix up the solution.

      Apply the Fertilome mixture to the soil around the plants at a rate of 1 quart for every 1 square foot of garden area.

      Reapply the Fertilome mixture every seven to 14 days throughout the growing season.

    Potted Plant Application

      Fill a large bucket with 1 gallon of water and 1 tsp. of Fertilome granules.

      Stir the water and granules until the granules dissolve.

      Pour the Fertilome mixture into the plant pot each time that you water. Once the desired level of blooms and coloring are achieved, reduce the frequency of application to every other watering.
