Instructions

    • 1

Place the fabric in the freezer. Leave it until the hot glue freezes. Remove the fabric from the freezer and pull the glue off. If the glue does not easily pull off, pick at the edges with a sharp object -- fork, scissors, knife -- until it pops off. If the fabric cannot be placed in the freezer, run ice over the glue until it hardens.

Place a brown paper bag over the glue. Set an iron's temperature setting to hot and iron over the brown paper bag. Slowly pull the paper bag back. The glue should now be adhered to the paper bag and not the original fabric. Butcher paper will work, if a paper bag is not available.

Dab the hot glue with a clean washcloth, if it is still wet. Saturate a cotton ball with acetone and dab at the remaining glue. Blot the area with another clean wash cloth to remove the acetone and glue. If acetone is not available, adhesive removers like Goo Gone will work.
