How Do I Put My Music Back Into My iPod?
If you've sent your iPod to Apple for repair, or if you've performed a factory reset on your iPod, your device will be completely empty of any music you had on the device previously. Fortunately for you, the iPod interacts with the iTunes software in a way that allows you to restore your iPod to its prior condition. By syncing your iPod with iTunes, you move all your music, movies and photos back to your iPod.

Click on "iPod" under the "Devices" heading in the left-hand sidebar. This will display information about your iPod.

Sync your iPod with iTunes by clicking the "Sync" button in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. If your iPod is completely empty, allow up to 30 minutes for iTunes to transfer all of your music, movies and photos back to the iPod device, depending on how much media you're syncing. The more content you sync to the device, the longer the sync takes.

Disconnect your iPod when the sync is complete. The display at the top of the iTunes window will notify you when the sync is finished. Your iPod will once again have all of your media on it.
