How to Calculate the Numerical Value of Your Name

Every person's name can be reduced to a number.

Numerology is the occult study of the meaning and influence of numbers. At the heart of this study are the beliefs that you can reduce all things to numbers and that every number is imbued with a distinct quality or vibration. Your name, for example, is associated with a numerical value. And this numerical value is your "destiny" or "expression" number. Your destiny number represents the main qualities you strive to fulfill and live up to. Calculating the numerological value of your name is fairly easy to do.

Instructions

1. Write down your full name, for example, Willard Christopher Smith.

2. Use the following alphabet chart to assign a numerical value to each letter in your name.

   1 = A, J, S

   2 = B, K, T

   3 = C, L, U

   4 = D, M, V

   5 = E, N, W

   6 = F, O, X

   7 = G, P, Y

   8 = H, Q, Z

   9 = I, R,

   Here are the numerical values for

3. Add up all of the numbers for each part of your name.

   For example:

   5 + 9 +3 +3 +1 + 9 + 4 = 34

   3 + 8 + 9 + 9 + 1 + 2 + 6 + 7 + 8 + 5 + 9 = 67

   1 + 4 + 9 + 2 + 8 = 24

4. Reduce each sum from Step 4 to a single digit to find the numerological aspect for each part of your name.

   For example:

   3 + 4 = 7, therefore "Willard" has a numerological value of 7.

   6 + 7 = 13 and 1 + 3 = 4, therefore "Christopher" has a numerological value of 4.

   2 + 4 = 6, therefore "Smith" has a numerological value of 6.

5. Calculate the sum total of all of the numbers in your name:

   For example:

   7 + 4 + 6 = 17

6. Reduce the sum from Step 7 to a single digit to calculate the numerological aspect of your entire name.

   For example:

   1 + 7 = 8, therefore "Willard Christopher Smith" has a numerological value of 8.

Tips & Warnings

• You get the same result if you add all of the numbers up for each part of your name, without reducing them first. For example: 34 + 67 + 24 = 125. Then reduce the result to a single digit. For example: 1 + 2 + 5 = 8.
