How to Reinstall Picasa 2
Picasa is a free program from Google that helps you organize, manage and correct the photos on your computer. As of 2011, Picasa 3.8 is available for users running Windows. However, this version of Picasa supports only Windows XP, Vista and 7. If you have an older computer running Windows 2000, you cannot run Picasa 3.8. However, you can run Picasa 2. Whether you need to obtain Picasa 2 for a Windows 2000-based computer or simply reinstall it to correct a problem, you can download it from Google's website for Picasa.

Navigate to the download page for Picasa 2 at Google, and click the blue "Download Picasa Now" button. Save the installation program to a location such as the desktop.

Double-click "picasaweb-current-setup.exe" when the download is complete.

Click "I Agree" after reading Google's software service terms.

Click the "Browse" button to select a destination folder for Picasa 2, or click "Install" to use the default destination of "C:\Program Files\Picasa2". The installation utility copies Picasa 2 to the selected folder and displays a window titled "Completing the Picasa 2 Setup Wizard."

Use the check boxes to indicate whether the Picasa setup utility should create shortcuts on the desktop and quick launch toolbar, and run automatically when the computer starts up.

Click "Finish" to complete the installation and launch Picasa 2.
