How to Clean Mildew on a Trex Deck
Trex is a composite decking material made out of plastic and wood. This composite decking is resistant to rotting and deterioration, as well as damage from moisture. Mildew, however, may grow on your Trex decking. Dirt, pollen, leaves and other organic matter sitting on the surface of the Trex for an extended period of time can often lead to mildew. Sweep the deck with a broom to remove all loose debris. Spray down the deck with water from the garden hose remove loose mildew.

Fill a bucket with warm water. Add a squirt of dish soap, then mix it up well.

Scrub the mildew spots with a soft scrub brush and the soapy water. Rinse out the brush often to avoid reapplying the mildew to the Trex decking. Continue scrubbing until all the mildew is gone.

Rinse the deck well with water from the garden hose.
