How to Add a Person to My Kindle

Save

Every Kindle has a unique email address. When you send an attached file, in a supported format, to that email address, the file will download to the Kindle. The person who sends the file has to be authorized to do so by the Kindle's owner. This prevents spammers from sending documents directly to your Kindle. If you want to authorize someone else to send documents to your Kindle, like a family member or employer, you can.

  • Open your browser and go to Amazon.com.

  • Move you cursor to "Kindle" under "Shop All Departments." Then click "Manage Your Kindle."

  • Enter an email address to authorize in the "Your Kindle Approved E-mail List."

  • Click "Add Address."
