How to Check to See if a Flash Player Is Up-to-Date

Flash Player is part of the Adobe Flash Platform of integrated application-programming technologies that provide animation, video and interactive capabilities to Web pages. Flash Player allows you to view high-quality streaming videos, animations and online games at a small file size. Keeping your Flash Player up to date helps ensure that you are getting the full experience of the Flash Platform.

  • Go to the Adobe Flash Player Web page (

  • Check the "Version Information" box on the Web page to see the current version of Flash that you have installed.

  • Scroll down to the bottom of the page and compare your current version number to the most up-to-date version number listed in the table. If your version is lower than the one listed in the table for your operating system, you can download the newest version by clicking the "Player Download Center" link above the version table.
