The Swiffer WetJet has changed the way house cleaning is done and has practically replaced the traditional mop and bucket. The WetJet reduces the need for scrubbing floors on your hands and knees. The Swiffer WetJet is a battery powered tool for floor cleaning that uses built-in floor cleaner. Disposable pads make clean up a one-step process. It is an economical way to clean floors without using a lot of water or soap. After use, there is nothing else to clean up. The cleaning fluid that is not picked up by the pad, quickly evaporates.   1. Using the Swiffer Wet Jet

      Take the Swiffer WetJet out of the box. Open the battery case and install fresh AA batteries. Push the bottle of cleaning fluid upside down into the mop. Test the installation by pushing the trigger on the handle. Spray should come out when the trigger is held down. Put on a disposable Swiffer pad and secure firmly. The old type wraps around the top of the mop head. The new pads attach with Velcro on the bottom of the mop. When attached, the mop is ready for use.

      Start by working from one corner of an open floor to the next, pushing the button on the handle to release the cleaning fluid spray. Not very much is needed, just a fine spray. Holding the trigger for a few seconds gives enough to work with. Work a little space at a time, pushing the mop forward and back across the floor. No scrubbing is necessary.

      Push the Swiffer WetJet around the area to be cleaned, using the pad to pick up dirt. pivot at corners and continue. The Swiffer's pad will collect dirt. It will be wet. Unfortunately, the pad is not designed for multiple use.

      Finish cleaning by removing the pad and disposing it safely. Store the Swiffer WetJet away for next use. The mop head can tilt vertically. Its slim design allows for easy storage in a narrow space.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use the spray in moderation.

  • For large jobs, use a traditional method first, then clean up with the Swiffer WetJet.

  • For solid object clean up, use a broom and dust pan first.

  • The Swiffer WetJet can also be used to clean vertical surfaces and glass.

  • Children should not play with the Swiffer WetJet or the cleaning fluid.

  • Floors can remain wet after use.
