How to Find a Girlfriend for Teens
Dating is an important part of a teenager's social development. The University of Florida reports that teen dating can help teach teens develop intimate and meaningful relationships as well as cooperation and empathy skills. You can help you teen find a girlfriend by encouraging him to get involved in school functions, participate in group activities and otherwise put himself in situations where he is more likely to meet new people.

1
Assist your teen in finding a part-time job. Many people meet potential dates in a workplace environment. The job also provides income he can use to take a girl out to dinner, movie or other activity.
-
2
Encourage your teen to get involved in co-ed school activities such as theater or band. This gives him the chance to meet girls his age with whom he can share common interests.

3
Allow your teen to go to school dances and other social functions. Even if he doesn't have a date to the specific event, he could go with other friends and could connect with a girl at the event itself.
-
4
Advise your teen to form a study group. While the group should consist of both boys and girls from class, this gives your teen a chance to spend more time with girls he may be interested in outside of the classroom. This could lead to more social or dating opportunities.
-
5
Encourage your teen to ask out girls he is interested in. A date is unlikely to happen if he doesn't ask. While the process can be nerve-wracking, he'll get better at it the more he tries.

Tips & Warnings
Stress confidence to your teen. A teen who is confidant in himself is much more likely to have success dating than one who constantly doubts himself.
Amusement parks, movie theaters, miniature golf, and private picnics are all ideas for teenage dates.
Do not put undue pressure on your teen to find a girlfriend. There could be factors at work in your teen's life that you are unaware of, such as depression, social maladjustment, or issues surrounding sexuality. If you think there may be such factors in your teen's life, encourage your teen to talk with you. If this is not an option, suggest he speak to a counselor or other neutral party.
