How to Draw Graduation Hats
Graduation hats are a timeless symbol of the completion of years of study in high school college or graduate school and the emergence onto the path towards a brighter future. Being able to render your own graduation cap easily allows you the freedom of adorning homemade cards, wrapping paper and scrapbooks with this image. Luckily, the image of a graduation cap consists of several simple shapes that you don't need to be a professionally trained artist to draw one.

1
Mark on your piece of paper approximately how tall and wide you want your finished graduation cap to be. This will give you a gentle guide while you're drawing. For example, make a small dot at where you want the top and bottom of the cap to be and where you want the sides to end approximately. Mark a center point in the exact center of all your dots.
-
2
Draw a diamond with your ruler. The width of the diamond should be twice the measurement of the length. For example, a diamond that is 3 inches tall and 6 inches wide is suitable for a small picture of a graduation cap.
-
-
3
Draw a straight line coming out of the middle of each of the bottom two sides of the diamond. The length of each straight line you draw should be approximately 1/4 the measurement of the width of the diamond.
-
4
Connect the two straight lines you just drew by making a curved line, practically like a smile shape. Draw a small round circle in the center of your diamond and a diagonal line coming straight out of that circle with a falling and attached tassel. Draw the lines of your tassel close together, using your picture as a guide.
