Instructions on Making Corsages
Corsages are flower arrangements that are traditionally worn by women on special events such as proms, wedding ceremonies or other formal events. Corsages come in two varieties: the corsage pin, which is worn pinned to the dress, or the wrist corsage, which is usually secured on the woman's wrist with an elastic band. Corsages are typically made using three blooms such as roses, orchids or other sturdy flowers that will not fall apart throughout the evening.

1
Select three blooms to use and cut them from their stems using floral scissors. Leave a few inches of stem on the base of each bloom.
-
2
Grab your piece of wire and place a finger in the center of the wire. Fold the wire in half, using your finger as a guide to create the fold. Once the wire has been folded, take your first bloom and insert the wire into the center of it, so that the two ends of wire stick out on either side of the flower's remaining stem. Push the wire all the way through the flower until the end of the wire is concealed by the center. Repeat this step for all remaining blooms.

3
Wrap floral tape at the top of the bloom to secure the wire to the remaining stem. Wrap the tape all the way around the stem and wire until they are fully covered in floral tape. Repeat this step for the remaining blooms.
-
4
Cut a small sprig of greenery and place it against the stem of one of the blooms. Secure the accent greenery to the bloom with floral tape.
-
5
Assemble the corsage by combining all three flowers together. To do this, place the first flower slightly lower than the first and twist the wired stems together. Add the third flower so that it is slightly staggered from the first two and twist the wired stems together.
-
6
Wrap floral tape around the combined wired stem to secure all the stems together. Then, place the flower arrangement on top of your wrist holder and tie the flowers in place using the ribbons on the holder.
-
7
Apply flower glue onto the revealed stem and adhere a decorative flower that accents the three main blooms. This will cover up the intertwined stems.
-
8
Twist up the remaining wire so that it doesn't poke anyone. The accent flower will conceal the end of the wire.
