How to Assign a Drive in XP

      Click "Performance and Maintenance." Select "Administrative Tools," then "Computer Management." Click "Disk Management."

      Right-click the drive you want to assign a letter to. Click "Change Drive Letter and Paths."

      Click "Assign the following drive letter" to select the name provided by the program. Change the letter to whatever you want by clicking on an available letter. Click "OK" to save the assignment.
