How to Make a Password for My New Computer in Windows 7
Windows 7 includes several safety features, including password protection. Once you have created a password, you will be required to type the password at startup to gain access to the operating system. Depending on your settings, you may be required to type your password in other situations as well, such as after your computer has been idle for a set time. Password protection helps prevent unwanted users from accessing your operating system.
