The Windows Live Toolbar, available as a free download, lets you quickly access Microsoft services while online, such as Windows Live Messenger and Hotmail. The toolbar also features tabbed browsing, so you're able to view multiple websites in one window, and an automatic form filler, which instantly fills out online forms for you. Your computer is ready to use Windows Live Toolbar if you're running Internet Explorer version 5 or later and have at least 128 MB of RAM.

Go to the Microsoft website. Type "windows live toolbar" in the search bar at the top of the screen. Hit the "Enter" key.

Click the "Download details: Windows Live Toolbar" link. Click on "Download."

Click "Open" if you want to install Windows Live Toolbar immediately. Otherwise, click "Save," and the download is sent to your computer. Double-click the download file to begin installation.
