How to Turn on JavaScript on Firefox 3.6

JavaScript is a programming language used on webpages. JavaScript code can make websites more interactive. For example, many websites use JavaScript to load more content without loading an entire new webpage or to add interactive menus and sounds. JavaScript is on by default in Firefox 3.6, but users can disable and enable it. You can turn JavaScript on, if it's been turned off, in Firefox's options window.

Instructions

1. Click the "Tools" menu at the top of the Mozilla Firefox window and click "Options."

2. Click the "Content" icon at the top of the options window.

3. Click the "Enable JavaScript" checkbox if it's not already checked.

4. Click "OK."

Tips & Warnings

• If you have a third-party JavaScript-blocking Firefox extension such as NoScript installed, the extension may be disabling JavaScript. Disable the extension from the add-ons window in the tools menu or by using the extension's status bar icon, taskbar icon or tools menu option.

• Enable or disable individual JavaScript features by clicking the "Advanced" button to the right of the "Enable JavaScript" checkbox in the options window.
