How to Get a Taxi on GTA 4

How to Get a Taxi on GTA 4 thumbnail
Hailing a cab in "GTA 4" can sometimes be easier than getting one in real life.

"Grand Theft Auto 4" or "GTA 4" is a third-person action game in which you play as Eastern European immigrant and former solider Niko Bellic. Bellic must travel around the fictional Liberty City to complete odd criminal jobs for various thugs and crime bosses to locate and seek revenge on the man who betrayed his platoon and got nearly everyone killed. Liberty City is a rather large place and while you can get anywhere by walking or stealing a car, sometimes you may just want to take a taxi and save yourself the trouble.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you are witnessed by a police officer stealing a cab or any other vehicle you will receive a single star under your "Wanted Level" bar which will cause the police to chase you until you lose them. To lose a cop you must escape the flashing circle displayed on your map that represents the range the cop can follow you.

  • If you shoot your gun out of the window while riding in the back of the cab by pressing the "right" bumper button on Xbox or the "R1" button for PlayStation before you reach your destination, the cab driver will freak out and leave the cab without charging you for the ride.
