How to Create a Facebook Artist Page
Facebook pages allow you to present a professional front on Facebook, making it easy to reach out to fans, acquire more fans in a "word of mouth"-like setting and promote your work. In order to create a Facebook page you must already have a personal Facebook profile, be the business owner or public figure in question, and agree to Facebook's terms of use.

1
Go to the Create a Page section of the Facebook website. You can access it directly in your web browser at facebook.com/pages/create.php, or by clicking the "Create a Page" link at the bottom of the left sidebar on any Facebook page.
-
2
Click the "Artist, Band, or Public Figure" button in the bottom left corner of the screen.
-
-
3
Select "Artist" from the "Choose a Category" drop down menu; the menu is organized alphabetically.
-
4
Fill in a name for your Facebook page. If you use a pseudonym as an artist, you may want to use that instead of your real name. You can change this name at a later date if desired.
-
5
Click the checkbox box beside "I Agree to Facebook Pages Terms" and click "Get Started" to create the page.
-
6
Edit the information on the page by clicking the "Edit Info" link below your name on the new page. This will allow you to modify the contact information much like on a regular profile page.
-
7
Modify the page settings by clicking the "Edit Page" button in the upper right corner of the screen. This allows you to set any age restrictions, set the default landing section when people visit your page, blacklist users, and change the posting settings for fans who "Like" your page.
