How to Use SwitchProxy Tool 1.4.1
A proxy is a tool that hides your computer's IP address when you are online. Every computer has an IP address, which can be thought of as that computer's home address. If somebody gets your IP address, they can find your location and possibly other information about you that you may not want them to have. A proxy swaps your IP address out for a fake one. SwitchProxy Tool is a software plug-in for the Firefox Web browser. It allows you to manage all the proxies that you have installed on your computer and switch between them.

1
Download the free software, SwitchProxy Tool 1.4.1 (see Resources). The download speed of your Internet connection will determine how fast the download completes, but your Internet browser will alert you when the file finishes downloading. It will usually alert you by a pop-up message in the bottom right corner of your screen. In either case, if you have a broadband Internet connection, the download shouldn't take more than a few minutes. It could take longer if you have dial up.

2
Locate the downloaded file, which will typically be downloaded to a folder labeled "Downloads" in your "Documents" folder, and double-click on it. The Firefox add-on will install and be added to Firefox. The installation of the file itself should take no more than two minutes.
