How to Remove the Skype Add-On in Firefox
When you install Skype, you can choose to install the optional Skype add-on for Firefox and Internet Explorer. When a phone number appears on a website, the add-on highlights the telephone number and lets you click the number to dial it in Skype. If you're having trouble with the add-on or no longer wish to highlight telephone numbers, you can either disable or uninstall the add-on. While disabling the Skype add-on allows you to enable it again in the future, uninstalling will permanently remove it.

Launch Firefox, then select "Add-ons" from the "Tools" menu.

Click the "Extensions" tab, then select the "Skype Extension" on the list.

Click "Disable" to temporarily remove the Skype add-on, then click "Restart Firefox." Click "Uninstall" to permanently uninstall the add-on, then click "Uninstall" on the confirmation prompt. Restart Firefox when prompted.
