1
Determine a date to get married. Selecting a date to get married will help with planning a wedding in Las Vegas. By knowing when you want to get married, you will be able to research wedding venues, book hotel stays and plan the getaway.

2
Avoid holidays and weekends. If you are planning your wedding on a budget in advance, avoid getting married on holidays, such as Valentine's Day, Sweetest Day and New Year's Eve. By not getting married on a holiday or weekend, you will save not only money for the chapel and wedding, but also time waiting in line.

Arrive a few days before the wedding. Since you can walk off the street and get married in Las Vegas, you can do your wedding chapel research a few days before the wedding. Arrive in Las Vegas a few days early and check out the different chapels in the area, ask questions and select the right one for your wedding needs. Arriving early will give you time to get pampered at the spa, go golfing and celebrate your last single days.

Select chapel. There are more than 50 chapels in the Las Vegas area, on the Strip and in hotels to choose from. After checking around pick which chapel will best fit your needs. Do not forget to ask about hidden costs, such as photo, music and witness services, so you are not surprised with extra wedding expenses.

Skip the guest list. Rather than spend the money for a reception, added hotel costs and other wedding guest related expenses, get married alone. Many chapels in Las Vegas offer witnesses for you, or you can always ask the couple you met at the bar the night before to be your witness. If you are not inviting friends and family, check to see if the chapel offers video feeds. For a small fee, some chapels offer a live video feed of your wedding ceremony that friends and family can watch back home.
