Facebook is a social networking site that boasts more than 600 million active users each month. Visitors to the site can communicate with friends, family and co-workers through chat, posts and direct messages. Facebook is accessible online through a computer and on a variety of multimedia devices such as the iPod Touch. The iPod Touch is the only model of the portable media player that allows users to download the Facebook application. If you no longer want to use Facebook on your iPod Touch, you can uninstall the application.

Instructions

      Press the "Home" button on your iPod Touch. If your device is currently locked, slide your finger across the bottom and enter your passcode.

      Locate the Facebook app icon. Flick your finger left across the screen to view additional screens.

      Press and hold the Facebook icon until all of the apps begin to wiggle.

      Tap the "X" in the corner of the Facebook icon. Tap "Delete" to confirm your desire to uninstall the app from your iPod.

      Press the "Home" button once Facebook in uninstalled.

  • Reinstall the Facebook app by accessing the App Store on your iPod and downloading it again.
