How to Check a Western Union Transaction
Western Union has convenient locations throughout the world for transferring money between two destinations. You can send money through Western Union and track the transaction online to see its status. Money transfer tracking allows you to see the date the money was sent and the date the money was picked up.

Check the status of the money transfer from Western Union's Money Transfer Tracking feature on its website.

Enter the Money Transfer Control Number listed on your receipt as "MTCN" on the first line of the form.

Enter your first name on the second line and your last name on the third line. Click "Check Status." The next page will tell you the date of the transaction, if the money has arrived at the receiving destination and if the recipient has picked up the money.

Use the bottom portion of the money transfer tracking if you have lost or misplaced the Western Union receipt and don't have the MTCN.

Enter your first and last name as the sender and the first and last name of the receiver. Click "Check Status." The information displayed will show you if the money has arrived at the receiving destination and if the recipient has picked up the money.
