How to Uninstall 7-Zip

7-Zip is a free open source software package designed to handle many different file compression formats. Some of the many different formats it can use include 7-zip, zip, g-zip, rar, tar and ace. 7-zip also includes an interface that allows the addition and removal of files within a compressed archive. When 7-zip is no longer needed on the Microsoft Windows system, it can be uninstalled through the control panel.

      Click the "Start" button in the lower-left corner of the screen.

      Click "Control Panel."

    • 3

      Click "Programs and Features."

    • 4

      Click "7-zip."

    • 5

      Click "Uninstall."

    • 6

      Click "Uninstall" again.

    • 7

      Click "Finish."
