Having a wedding page on the Internet can help ease some aspects of planning the event. It can serve as a tool to help keep your guests informed of your wedding details and collect information on invitees who plan to attend. Make sure your webpage includes some of the basic components to make wedding planning easier. There are a number of sites offering couples a place to develop a wedding webpage for free. For example, type "free wedding website" into a search engine and one of the first sites to appear is eWedding.com.

Visit eWedding.com and click on the "Get Started" button from its homepage. Complete the fields to establish an account. Fill out fields including, username, password, valid email, selection of a theme from a scroll-down menu, groom's and bride's name, state, country, wedding date (if known) and selection of whether to make your site public or private. Check off the box on your agreement to its terms of use and privacy policy. Click on "Setup Free Account" when finished.

Click on "Setup Your Website" and enter your username and password.

Select the "Edit Site" tab and complete information under the "Homepage Settings" tab. Enter a message to visitors of the site in the "Welcome Message" field. Upload a photo to appear on the webpage by clicking on "Browse" under "Homepage Photo." Select the photo file and click "Open," followed by clicking "Upload." Review the "General preferences" section and make necessary changes to the fields inquiring about "Include last names," "Guestbook 'Preview'," "Guestbook e-Mails," "Counter on Website," "Wedding Countdown," "Concurrent RSVPs," "RSVP e-Mails," "Homepage Poll and Quiz" and "eWedding Search." Under "Social Applications," indicate if you want to link this wedding webpage to your Facebook and Twitter accounts. Click "Save" when you are finished.

Click on the "Page Control" tab and make your settings for your wedding webpage. Select whether you want to set an access password for your site and edit your privacy settings for fields including registry, RSVP, mailing list and your vendors.

Click on the "Music" tab to select songs available to play in the background of your wedding page.

Click on the "Select Page to Edit" drop down menu and input information into sections that are important to you for wedding planning. Sections such as "Our Vendors" allow you to include all information on your vendors and a place to keep note tabs on the status of your dealings with the vendors. The "Mailing List" section allows you to send an email to your entire list of contacts, including an email to inform your guest to visit the new wedding webpage you have finished creating.
