Start the fight. The fighting style is similar to other fighting games and requires the use of the buttons on the right to play and the D-pad to move the characters. It is an arena-style fight in which the players attack each other.

Watch the cards on the bottom. Notice which cards are available for the character. Every character has healing cards, cards to lower the defenses of opponents and special attack cards. The cards will have a number between 1 and 3. This shows the number of points needed to use the card. The player has a maximum of 15 points, which are listed by the cards.

Tap the touch screen on the preferred card. For example, if the goal is an attack, hit one of the special attack cards, which are the cards without an arrow pointing up or down. The card will activate the attack and will show a cut-scene where buttons are not needed as the attack takes place.
