How to Remove "Battlefield 2142" From the Registry

Use Regedit to remove "Battlefield 2142" from the registry.

You must use the Windows registry editor to remove all active entries for "Battlefield 2142" from your Windows registry. Deleting the wrong entries from the registry can cause other software programs to stop working. It is crucial that you delete only the entries that belong solely to "Battlefield 2142."

Instructions

1. Click "Start" and "Run." Type "Regedit" in the text field and hit "Enter."

2. Click the "My computer" icon on the top-left corner of the regedit window, ensuring that it is highlighted and selected. Hold down "Ctrl" and press the "f" key. Type "Battlefield" in the "Find what" field. De-select the "Values" and "Data" fields, ensuring that only "Keys" is selected. Click the "Find next" button.

3. Examine the search result and ensure that the entry contains "Battlefield 2142." Scroll up the folder tree on the left side until you find the game root folder called "Battlefield 2142." Right-click the folder and select "Delete."

4. Scroll to the top of the folder tree, click "My computer" and hit "F3" to repeat your last search. Check that all entries are now gone. Repeat the process to delete any remaining entries.
