How to Get a Passport ID Card if You Have a Passport
A passport card is similar to an identification card, but it can be used to gain entry into Mexico, United States, Canada, Bermuda and into seaports. A passport card can't be used for international travel by air. The passport card is often more convenient to carry since it can fit into your wallet, and is supposed to provide for a speedier and more efficient screening process at the border. If you already have a passport book but would like to obtain a convenient passport card, you can get one by mail.
