How to Get Damage Meter Add-ons for World of Warcraft
"World of Warcraft" was released in 2004 for the PC. One feature of "WoW" is how customizable it is. You can change the interface or add programs that perform new features not originally in the game. One of these addons, a damage meter, shows you how much damage each player is doing in one of the game's instances. This can be helpful to ensure that every player is doing the most amount of damage possible. Once downloaded, follow these steps to make your damage meter addon appear in-game.

Navigate to a "World of Warcraft" add-on website, such as Curse, and select a damage meter. Some popular damage meters include Recount, Skada and MinnaStats.

Click the "Download" button to begin your download. Click "Save" on the Internet Explorer "File Download" box to choose a location for your download. Select an easy to remember location, such as the desktop, from the drop-down menu at the top of the window.

Right-click the downloaded .zip file containing your add-on. Click "Extract All" from the pop-up menu.

Select the destination "C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns" and click "Next" to unzip the addon to this location. This will extract the add-on folder directly into the "AddOns" directory.

Launch "World of Warcraft" from the Program list or desktop. Type in your login name and password, then wait for it to load the character screen.

Click "AddOns" in the lower left corner of the main menu.

Verify that your damage meter add-on has a check next to it in the add-on list. If it does not, click the box next to it to enable the damage meter in-game.

Select your character and load the game. Activate the damage meter by typing the command for it in the chat box. For example, to activate Recount, type "/recount show" in the chat box and press "Enter."
