People will believe you can read minds.

A little Black Magic at a party or in a family is always enjoyable. Getting people believing you can read minds is the idea with this game. It is quite easy to do and amusing and enjoyable for all who play the game. You can make a big deal out of it with the right acting skills and people may go home really believing you can actually read minds.

Instructions

    • 1

Play this came with at least four people. There has to be a "guesser" and a "giver." You can introduce the game to the group either by hinting that you can read minds or asking them if anyone knows how to play "Black Magic." Ask the "guesser" to leave the room and instruct the group to choose an item. That is all they need to know at this point.

    • 2

Allow the "guesser" to uncover his eyes and start guessing what the object is. Go around the room pointing at objects; the "guesser" will keep repeating that the object is incorrect. Example: "Is it Henry's white t-shirt?" "No." "Is it the blue curtains?" "No," and so on.

    • 3

Point at something black; this is the trigger. The "guesser" will then know that the next item is the correct one.

    • 4

Point at the item that the group chose. The guesser will affirm that this is the correct item. Confounded by the correct guess, the other members of the group will usually demand to try again. They will probably keep attempting to discover the trick. If someone reveals that they do know the secret, take him into another room so he can share his guess privately without giving away the secret. If he is correct, he can then become a "guesser."

Tips & Warnings

  • Create the right atmosphere; have the room dimly lit and set the scene by playing on the fact that you can read minds.
