How to Turn Predictive Text Off on Shine

The predictive text function on the LG Shine makes the phone suggest words as you type them. Some users may find this feature annoying and wish to turn it off. You can disable the predictive text function through the menus when typing a new message. Once the feature is disabled in a message, it won't suggest words on new messages until it's enabled.

Instructions

1. Click the "Menu" button to open the main menu.

2. Scroll down and select "Messaging."

3. Click on "New message."

4. Click the "Options" key.

5. Click "Text entry settings."

6. Click "T9 Next Word Prediction" and set it to "Off."
