How to Disable AOL Dialer
The America Online (AOL) dialer is a function inside the AOL program which, if you turn it on, attempts to establish an Internet connection every time your computer tries to access an Internet resource. Only AOL customers still using a dial-up connection can access the AOL dialer function. While it is not possible to remove the AOL dialer altogether, you can disable it so it doesn't regularly attempt to connect to the Internet.
