1
Cut two lengths of the double-sided tape the length of the headband. Peel one side off of one piece of the tape and stick it to the top side of the headband. Peel off one side off the second piece of tape and stick it to the inside edge of the headband.
-
2
Peel off around 3 inches of the paper on the tape on side of one end of the headband, so the stickiness is revealed.

3
Cut a 1/2-inch-long piece of ribbon and stick half of it to the end of the headband on the outside edge. Half the ribbon piece should hang over the end of the headband.
-
4
Stick the end of the ribbon (still attached to the reel) on the inside edge of the end of the headband, perpendicular to the line of the headband. Fold the end of the small ribbon piece over the perpendicular ribbon, and stick it down.
-
5
Wrap the ribbon on the reel around the headband, positioning the ribbon side-by-side, rather than with the edges overlapping. Wider ribbon should have the edges overlapping to avoid edges sticking up, but 1/4-inch ribbon is thin enough to be placed side by side.
-
6
Peel off more of the tape as you wrap to reveal more stickiness. Continue wrapping until you reach around 1/2 an inch from the other end of the headband.
-
7
Cut another 1/2 inch piece of ribbon and stick half of it to the back of the headband. Continue wrapping the last of the ribbon until there is only one more wrap needed to finish it. Instead of wrapping the ribbon, fold over the end of the small piece of ribbon and stick it down.
-
8
Cut a small piece of tape, around 1/2 an inch, peel of one side and stick it to the end of the ribbon, right next to the headband end. Peel of the second half of the tape, then make the last wrap of the ribbon. Trim the ribbon at the end of the headband to finish wrapping it.
