How To Switch From NetZero Platinum To NetZero Free
NetZero provides several levels of service as an Internet service provider. NetZero Free and Platinum are both dial-up services. While the Platinum option is fairly inexpensive, if you find the need to cancel this service, you can still use the free edition. Using the free edition will cause you to be subject to its limitations.

Cancel your paid account. Call NetZero and tell them you wish to cancel your account. If you have any prepaid amount that you paid at a discount you may not be able to cancel your account until the time period is up or you will have to pay a fee.

Use the software you downloaded to connect to NetZero. Use your current account and you should be able to login, because your account should have reverted to a free account.

Go to the NetZero website and sign up for another account if your old account is not working correctly. Use a different email address if you have another email account and the setup says you already have an account. If you can't sign up call NetZero and tell them you want to switch your account to the free version.
