How to Remove Static Cling Parking Permits
Many campuses and places of employment use parking permits as a way to distinguish the cars of employees and students from the general public. Most places now opt for a static cling type of sticker versus a glue adhesive sticker. Static cling stickers use static electricity to hold the sticker in place on your windows. Removing a static cling parking permit for cleaning the window or relocating the permit leaves behind no messy glue residue.

1
Rub an upper corner of the parking permit with your finger to lift up an edge of the permit. Sometimes wetting the tip of your finger slightly with water is helpful.
-
2
Grasp a corner of the permit between your thumb and finger once the corner lifts away from the window.
-
-
3
Gently pull the corner downward to the opposite lower corner of the permit. The static cling releases from the window. Pull the sticker completely away from the window.
-
4
Place the static cling parking permit on a clean portion of your window when reattaching. If there is dust or grease on the window, the cling will not adhere well.
