How to Delete Bookmarks From the Bookmarks Tool Folder

In computer terms, bookmarks are saved Web pages. They are links to the Web pages you do not want to forget. Bookmarks allow you to launch previously visited pages quickly with one click. Bookmarks are usually stored and organized in a specific folder so you can access them when you want to. If you have too many bookmarks, delete the ones you are no longer interested in.

Instructions

Internet Explorer Users

1. Launch Internet Explorer and click the "Favorites" button on the top of your browsing window.

2. Click the arrow next to the "Add to Favorites" button and click the "Organize Favorites" option. A new dialog box launches with a list of your bookmarks.

3. Click the bookmark you want to remove and click the "Delete." When prompted, click "Yes" to confirm.

Firefox Users

1. Launch Firefox and click the "Bookmarks" menu on the top of your browsing window. Click "Organize Bookmarks" to launch the organizing tool.

2. Click the "All Bookmarks" option in the left pane. You should see a list of your saved bookmarks in the right pane.

3. Right-click the bookmarks you want to remove and click "Delete."

Safari Users

1. Launch Safari and click the "Bookmarks" menu on the top of your browsing window. Click "Show all Bookmarks" to launch the Bookmarks folder.

2. Select the folder containing the bookmarks you want to delete. You should see a list of your bookmarks in the right pane.

3. Right-click the bookmarks you want to remove and click "Delete."
