How to Make a Floor Cleaner With Vinegar
White vinegar works well on any hard-floor surface. It cleans, disinfectants and leaves behind no residue when dry. To use vinegar properly as a floor cleaner, dilute the vinegar so it causes no damage to the flooring. Mix 1 gallon of water with 1/2 cup of white vinegar in a bucket. Diluting the vinegar with this ratio keeps it strong enough to disinfect yet mild enough for use on any hard-floor surface.

Dip your mop into the cleaning solution and wring it out well. Wringing is important as you don't want to soak the floor as you clean.
