Wear your 3D IMAX glasses during the 3D film production for an enhanced visual experience.

IMAX cinemas show three-dimensional film productions that require you to wear 3D glasses in order to experience the three-dimensional effects on the screen. The glasses are linear polarized plastic glasses, and the films that are produced for IMAX 3D are made specifically for the IMAX 3D films. You can use the glasses for other three-dimensional film experiences, but the glasses are paired best with the 3D IMAX experience.

Instructions

    • 1

Wear your 3D IMAX glasses over your eyes during a three-dimensional IMAX production. The glasses are specially designed to be used for the film production, and they will give an effect to the film that seems to make images pop out from the screen.

Take off the glasses at any point during the film if your eyes become tired or strained, or if your head begins to hurt. The three-dimensional IMAX films can be exciting, but they can also be exhausting to watch because your eyes and brain are constantly being stimulated by the exaggerated effects. You may want to leave the IMAX theater to rest your eyes if you begin to feel uncomfortable.

Take the IMAX 3D glasses out with you after the film. Place your used glasses in the provided recycling bins on the outside of the auditorium so the IMAX staff can wash the glasses and provide them for other customers to use. You can also keep the glasses and use them for future three-dimensional film viewing.
