How to Get a Free AT&T Phone
Now more than ever, you have dozens of mobile phone choices, regardless of the wireless carrier you use. When using AT&T, you have the option to select anything from an iPhone to a BlackBerry and just about any phone in between. If you don't want to pay the high prices for some of the phones, it is possible to obtain a free phone from AT&T. You just can't be overly picky on the phone and you may need to wait for a special promotion.

Sign up for a two-year contract. AT&T offers select phones for free if you sign up for a two-year contract.

Buy two phones. During promotional periods AT&T often gives you a free phone when you purchase one. This is helpful if you and a family member want to buy a mobile phone at the same time.

Sign up for a family plan. This is if you have multiple individuals in your family that want a mobile phone. Purchasing a separate contract for each individual is costly. With a family plan you are able to obtain certain mobile phones for free (this generally does not cover iPhones, Droids and other smartphones).
