How to Uninstall a Netzero Toolbar

The NetZero Toolbar is a browser add-on for Internet Explorer and Firefox. It is packed along with the NetZero Platinum software. While the add-on makes it easy for you to receive news, sports, weather and tracking information in your browser, you may want to uninstall it if you are no longer using it. Uninstalling the NetZero Toolbar from your browser can be done safely while keeping your NetZero software installed.

Instructions

Internet Explorer Users

1. Click "Start" and select "Control Panel."

2. Click "Programs and Features" if you are using Windows 7 or Windows Vista. Double-click "Add or Remove Programs" if you are using Windows XP. This launches the programs window.

3. Scroll down and click "NetZero Toolbar" listed in the currently installed programs window and then click the "Uninstall" or "Remove" button. Confirm your selection to remove the toolbar.

4. You may have to restart your Web browser to see the change.

Firefox Users

1. Click the "Tools" menu and click "Add-ons." This launches the Add-ons box.

2. Click the "Extensions" tab, scroll down and click the "NetZero Toolbar." Click "Uninstall" and click "Uninstall" again to confirm. The toolbar will be removed.

3. Click "Restart Firefox."
