How to Create an FTP in GoDaddy

File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is one of a set of protocols within the TCP/IP suite of protocols. FTP is used to transfer files between computers. Purchasing a Web hosting package from GoDaddy will give you access to their online management tools and there users will have access to create additional FTP accounts under GoDaddy. To create FTP accounts under GoDaddy takes just a few steps.

      Open your Web browser and navigate to the GoDaddy website (see Resources).

      Enter your user name and password at the top of the page and log in.

      Look under the Products section, then click "Web Hosting."

      Click on the "Launch" button next to your hosting account.

      Click the" Settings" section in your Hosting Control Center, then click "Manage FTP Users."

      Click on "Add FTP User."

      Enter the user name and password for the FTP user.

      Enter a directory path for the FTP user.
