How to Remove QuickTime From Your Registry

QuickTime is a media application that can be used to view digital video, audio and pictures. It was designed by Apple, Inc. and comes in both free and fee-based versions. There are several other media players to choose from if you want to view videos or listen to music, though. If you no longer use QuickTime and you decide to uninstall it, you can make sure it is completely removed by deleting it from your registry.

  Click "Start" and type "Regedit" in the "Search" field. Press "Enter." This will open the registry.

  Locate and click on the registry: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Apple Computer, Inc."

  Right-click the QuickTime folder and click "Delete." You have now removed QuickTime from your registry.
